The Role:
To ensure the timely and accurate delivery of Service Technical Parts Information to all worldwide markets (supporting approximately 180 dealers) in line with new product/project launch timing. Role holder must produce concise Aftersales Technical Parts Information for vehicle systems to enable dealer technicians to maintain and repair client products in a timely and accurate manner. To ensure the Technical Parts Information is correct at the time of publication and updated in line with all relevant changes to the specification of the product. To deliver this information within the Product timing Plan.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the creation & maintenance of dealer Technical Parts Catalogue Information at New product or Model Year launches utilising Engineering Bill Of Material information.

2. May need to deputise for the Whole Vehicle Parts Catalogues Senior Engineer as an interface with client Engineering Functions

3. Supporting the delivery of dealer and customer satisfaction targets in line with company and Group targets. Ensuring customer mobility and technical support for vehicles 1955 to current.

Specific Information for Role:
1. Documentation - Dealer Technical Parts Information
a. Creation: processing and influencing the Aftersales 'End Sale Items Decision process' to build a detailed Technical Parts catalogue with all interdependencies detailed and managed in order to deliver a fully populated parts system that has logic and PR number intelligence built in.
b. Maintenance: Using experience, an analytical approach and interpretation of company business systems to implement detailed technical parts changes, ensuring fit/form and function criteria are implemented.
c. All catalogues to meet with annual group requirements in terms of quality, weekly KPI's delivered from VW group that detail any improvement areas - target = best in group.

2. Health & Safety:
a. Responsible for detailing all warnings/cautions and notes to highlight to the end technical information user of any issue that may cause damage to Customer, Dealer Technician or Product.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience
o Time served Craft Apprentice
o Automotive technician
* Ability to produce clear, concise and unambiguous written instructions in English.
* Computer literate with a demonstrable level of experience of data retrieval from computer systems.
* Experience of producing written information for external publication would be preferable.

Practical & Technical Knowledge:
* Knowledge of Automotive industry, client Product and dealer practices.
* Knowledge/experience of working in similar Automotive Company functions - eg Engineering.
* Knowledge of vehicle systems and there interactions on the product whether that be mechanical, electrical, digital.

* Time served Craft Apprentice automotive engineering or related discipline
* Automotive technician
