The Role:
The primary purpose of this role is co-ordination of the following cross functional activities:
* Supplier relocations
* Global Sourcing
* Series Supply Constraints, shortages
* Facilitation of Supply Assurance Shift Meeting
* Support Risk Management on Insolvencies, Force Majeure and Capacity Management

Scope of the Role:
1. Supplier relocations / Global Sourcing
a) Initial contact point for Supplier relocations
b) Initial assessment of supplier relocation plan and make recommendations
c) Co-ordination of cross functional resource in support of supplier relocations / Global Sourcing's
d) Lead supplier relocation activities as assigned.
e) Tooling re-location as a result of insolvency or global sourcing.
f) Produce management reports and generate KPI's in support of Supplier relocations / Global Sourcing
g) Share learning and skills with colleagues and suppliers.

2. Series Supply Constraints
a) Initial point of contact with Logistics on potential part shortages
b) Initial point of contact with Quality on potential part shortages
c) Co-ordination of cross functional resource in support of supplier shorts making recommendation for resolution or escalation as appropriate.
d) To reduce, or maintain, lead times of parts through regular contact with suppliers.
e) Network and communicate effectively with other functions/departments within Group.
f) Produce management reports and generate KPI's in support of Supplier relocations
g) Share learning and skills with colleagues and suppliers.

3. Facilitation of Supply Assurance Shift meeting
a) Lead daily Supply Assurance Shift meeting
b) Make recommendations for ownership of Supply related issues.
c) Issue minutes and next steps from meeting
d) Facilitate escalation of issues from Shift

4. Support Risk Management on Insolvencies, Force Majeure & Capacity Management
a) Work with client's Risk management team on the co-ordination of insolvency, Force Majeure & Capacity Management activities within the company.
b) Make recommendations of Cross functional resource required in support of Insolvency, Force Majeure & Capacity Management,

5. Tracking and Administration of team Budgets

Additional Information:
* The position is non-supervisory
* Regular reporting of project status will be required.
* There is no direct commercial authority, although from time to time this may be granted by the Director of Purchase (for specific issues).
* Preparations and delivery of presentations to Board and Projects will be required.
* The role will involve Supplier visits where applicable, including overseas travel where required.
* Co-ordination with other business functions on Supplier related issues.
* Responsible for ensuring that the Function operates in accordance with site policies and procedures in respect of Health and Safety, in order to ensure the safety of Associates and visitors.

Essential Skills/Qualifications:
* Educated to Degree level or equivalent education in a business or supply chain discipline / apprenticeship with Supply chain related disciplines.

Skills and Experience:
* Demonstrate working as a part of a team as well as on its own, be self -motivated and flexible
* Demonstrable strength in networking and influence
* Excellent organisation and planning skills
* Demonstrable experience in Automotive Project and Supply Chain management
* Demonstrate good interpersonal and leadership skills, with ability to communicate across all levels of the business.
* Proven experience in the systematic planning and follow-up of Supply Chain related activities.
* Demonstrate necessary knowledge of automotive component manufacturing processes.
* Share learning and skills with colleagues and suppliers as required

Practical & Technical Knowledge:
* Microsoft office skills
* Proven project management and reporting skills
* Problem solving and continuous improvement techniques, able to solve complex problems and work autonomously in challenging circumstances
