The Role:

To generate, compile and support the delivery of the vehicle build plans for Simulator and Prototype Vehicles, using the company Process to ensure delivery to agreed project cost, timing and quality targets.


1. Responsible for identifying the functional activity, resource and budget to ensure overall delivery in line with TCD and Vehicle Specification timing requirements
2. Responsible for the compilation and validation of material within the BoM, through liaison with external suppliers, Engineering, Logistic and Manufacturing areas for both new and carry over material including sub-assemblies.
3. Accountable for timely supply of material through use of the recognised processes, including the introduction of necessary countermeasures ensuring build SiP and quality requirements are met.
4. Responsible for the supply of relevant build information in support of the generation of the Build Timing Plans, through customer and supplier interface, ensuring delivery of vehicles in line with Vehicle Usage Plan requirements.
5. Accountable for the delivery of vehicle builds through the leadership of a joint engineering/cross functional team using the build process, including issue identification, containment and resolution through root cause analysis.
6. Responsible for managing the vehicle sign off / handover to customer activity, to the pre-agreed 'fit for purpose' quality standard.


Degree in appropriate Engineering discipline, Engineer or HNC qualified. Able to demonstrate the appropriate level of experience, Chartered Engineer preferable


Good working knowledge and understanding of prototype or pre-production vehicle planning and build activities.
