The Role:
Control and review cash expenditure for the client in order to ensure timely cash inflows and outflows.
Protect the business from currency fluctuations and maintain liquidity.
Ensure reporting complies with the clients rules and IAS.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Control (and maintain relationships with) all UK and foreign currency bank accounts.
a. Complete daily reconciliation with every bank statement and SAP
b. Be the initial point of contact for any banking issues (In-House bank and external banks) and liase with the relevant bank and department
c. Initiate BACS recalls through VIB as required by the business
d. Analyse and code the bank statements each day for the General Ledger Team to process

2. Control (and maintain relationships with) VIB and Germany.
a. Control and initiate the short term deposits of surplus funds to VIB.
b. Liaise as appropriate with VIB on loans and liquidity.
c. Act as initial point of contact for resolving issues between the banks and VW Germany Treasury departments.
d. Ensure correct placement of currency deals and record the future impact on profit or loss on exchange movements on the daily cash forecasting file.
e. Assess the monthly requirement for OCI Currency deal swapping to ensure that the client are not overhedged. Liaise with the wider organisation as required.

3. Control all payments out of the business.
a. Check all payment runs to ensure the value date is achievable, taking into account bank processing time and bank holidays.
b. Check the correct currencies are being paid on the correct payment run types to ensure failures are kept to a minimum.
c. Complete initial approval stage on SAP for each payment run.
d. Approve payment terms changes to suppliers, as processed by Accounts Payable/Purchase.
e. Liase with banks if any issues occur.
4. Control and maintain the dealer guarantees and letters of credit.
a. Collate all financial information required in order to ship cars to worldwide dealer network.
b. Ensure timely submission to the banks to enable shipping to take place.
c. Highlight to Credit Controller and Senior Treasury and Investment Manager any guarantees or LOCs that are close to expiry.


5. Assist with audit requirements.
a. Provide reconciling information on bank accounts on the quarterly external audits.
b. Maintain a list of contract deals in place.
c. Explain uncleared bank items and prove subsequent clearing as required.

Specific Information for Role:

Unlimited authorisation of SAP generated payment runs including salary and expenses as long as subsequent authorisation occurs.

Authorisation to instruct banks to act on behalf of Bentley Motors Ltd - excluding payments (see above and below)

Execution of direct transactions with the banks unlimited in value subsequent to further authorisations.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills & Experience:
Demonstrable experience in accounting/finance including a good understanding of the balance sheet, banks and cash.
Treasury or banking experience would be preferable.
Good SAP skills
Good numerical and communication skills.
Good basic education, including 5 or more good passes at GCSE/O Level standard, specifically including Mathematics.
CIMA/ACCA/CTP part qualified, qualified or qualified by experience
