MAIN GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

The W12 EPS reports to the W12 Engine Project Leader and supports in the successful achievement of the engine project deliverables.
Representative in relevant Engine, Business and Group forums deputising for the W12 Engine Project Leader when necessary.
The role covers communications and PR work around the W12 engine project.
The W12 EPS can deputise in the lead of a Model Year programme whilst still reporting to the W12 Engine Project Leader.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Accountable for deliverables to a specified timeframe, quality and cost.

a. Ability to demonstrate deliverables status at any time with Key Performance Indicators.
b. Manage workload on a daily basis and respond to both long term and short term task requests.
c. Responsible for leading prompt concern resolution on existing processes, the coordination of resource, and ability to provide containment solutions when necessary.

Developing and maintaining specialist technical and business knowledge and capability, to ensure appropriate technical direction is provided.

a. Propose process and method improvements to develop departmental capability.
b. Ability to work with other departments/Engineers.
c. Committed to own continuous professional development.

Accountable for developing and influencing the strategic technical direction within specialist area

a. Demonstrate a broad awareness of process and operational requirements within the area.
b. Responsible for the delivery of W12 engine project deliverables
c. To work as part of the cross functional team to facilitate the correct and timely inputs in problem solving.
d. Ensure communication of cross functional engine project status and key project information.
e. Keep up to date with industry innovations and relevant Group technical roadmap deployment.

Maintain effective communication internally and within VW Group.

a. Responsibility to ensure factual and effective communication is provided at all levels, including within all cross-functional working teams.
b. Participation and effective representation of the engine project in appropriate meetings.
c. Responsible for the collation and presentation of relevant data in order to consult and cross-functional meetings.
d. Make recommendations and effective presentations to the business

Accountable for the internal and external W12 engine project communication

a. Responsibility for the alignment with Bentley PR and Sales & Marketing regarding the W12 engine project
b. Extract and prepare key messages for PR around the W12 engine project
c. Support all aspects related to the W12 communication with presentations of high quality and clear communication

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Appropriate experience working in the Automotive Industry or related industries.
Experience of process from launch to production.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to building positive relationships with other functions, and Group.
Ability to share knowledge effectively with others, coach and guide as appropriate.
Understanding and ability to demonstrate behaviours in line with the Bentley People Framework.

PRACTICAL & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

Has demonstrable knowledge applicable to the cycle plan and competitor products.
A proven knowledge of relevant departmental /Company systems.
Demonstrable knowledge and application of Company problem solving tools and skills.
A broad knowledge of automotive systems development, technical concepts and specifications
