The Role:
Position Overview

This position is to support the Opex Management workstream objective in relation to:
* Predictable and transparent opex forecasting, underpinned by activity based costing

This position will work with the existing Opex Management workstream team to establish new opex forecasting processes with defined linkage between:
* Work programme, costs and production
* Forecast/actual costs and business decisions/events
* Clear understanding of costs and variances

Accountabilities
* Successful design of the new opex forecasting processes and underlying supporting technology.

Key Duties
* Work with the Opex Management workstream team to produce:
o "As is" process / data flow documentation.
o Roadmap in support of enhanced forecasting process (incl. tools/systems).
o Cost reporting and planning tools based on activity or use of resources in order to ensure consistency and understandable baseline across the RSR portfolio.
o Roadmap of activity drivers / interdependencies.
o Transparent link to activity planning and estimating and reporting processes.
o Defined KPIs for opex forecasting process.

Education Attainment & Accreditation

* Graduate or equivalent in finance discipline preferred but not essential
* Ideally the candidate should have oil and gas industry experience.

Professional skills & Experience
* Experience of working with complex finance business processes ideally within the oil and gas industry.
* The post holder will be highly numerate, processes strong analytical skills, self-motivated and require minimum guidance.
* Proven experience in a fast paced environment.
* Proven track record of working well in a team environment.
* Working within the up-stream oil & gas industry across a number of operational and service areas is preferred but not essential.

Interpersonal Skills & Qualities
* Confident, enthusiastic and strong leadership capability.
* Able to tackle and resolve difficult issues.
* Customer focused with excellent communication skills.
* Strong team player who can provide support and challenge in a constructive manner to business representatives.
* Logical and pragmatic problem solver.

The Company:
Our Client is an O&G exploration and production company based in Aberdeen who operate in the North Sea. They have interests in a large number of fields, the majority of which they operate, on the UK Continental Shelf with numerous offshore installations and one onshore terminal.
