The Role:
Position Overview

The recognised owner of the Information Management Strategy who provides leadership to a distributed team of Information Management professionals; ensuring that the Company's Information Management policy and standards are complied with, providing technical expertise in the use and future development of all information tools, contract manage the provision of externally provided IM services and deliver a service to control access and changes to information.

Reporting to the Information Technology & Transformation Office Manager, the Information Manager will be accountable for all Information Management related activities to support the organisation across all business streams and the management of the information resources.

Key Duties:
· Develop and deliver an effective, efficient and robust Information Management strategy covering the current and future needs of the business.
· Build and deliver the plan scope for the identified Improvement
· Build and implement the required resource model to deliver project scopes followed by sustaining the improvements in operation
· Build the technology roadmap with supporting funding model to deliver
· Engage key stakeholders in supporting implementation plan
· Ensure all cost saving initiatives are captured
· Provide problem solving and challenge to business leaders when developing innovative solutions and process improvement.
· Should keep current with the developments in the data science field, bring forward improvement opportunities that could unlock value in the business

The Company:
Our Client is an O&G exploration and production company based in Aberdeen who operate in the North Sea. They have interests in a large number of fields, the majority of which they operate, on the UK Continental Shelf with numerous offshore installations and one onshore terminal.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
· Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject, or having had significant experience in a similar role
· Management or Leadership qualification preferred

Professional Skills & Experience:

· Having been an acting senior member of an Information Management team
· Experience of leading diverse and decentralised teams and delivering results
· Extensive working knowledge of industry data and information types
· Broad understanding of Business and Commercial activities required to achieve service delivery
· Having an extensive network of relevant contacts
· A proven ability to use a variety of tools and technology to ensure efficient delivery of service
· To be able to objectively assess developing tools and innovations for their relevance to the organisation and service
· An active interest in the field of Data Science

· Able to develop strategic ideas and help shape the Information Management needs of the organisation
