The Role:
Position Overview
The role is responsible for ensuring that the significant inventory (onshore & offshore) is effectively managed in support of . The position will report directly to the Procurement & Inventory Manager, contributing significantly towards continuous improvement within the function and the SCM's annual business delivery objectives

Accountabilities
· Demonstrate commitment towards ensuring effective and efficient control of all inventory through best practices in warehousing and Maximo systems management
· Support and guide Offshore Material Controllers
· Guide and Support those involved in materials management processes
· Embrace continual improvement and change activities

Key Duties
· Supports Inventoryutilisation- ensures that inventory levels are appropriate for asset/division and identifies synergies across assets
· Supports Maximo Inventory & Disposal Processes - ensures that existing inventory isutilisedbefore we "buy new"
· Controls stock checking and accounting/ reconciliation across assets
· Control of all company owned inventory and associated activities, including, but not limited to - Identifying, recording, coding, procurement, storage, stock-checking and ultimate control andoptimisation of all owned assets' inventory
· Control of Critical equipment spares in combination with appropriate Asset technical focal points
· Work closely with the Maximo and other systems teams to ensure that the procurement, inventory and logistics solution is fit for purpose
· Provide coaching and set expectations for Offshore Material Controllers on acceptable attitudes,behavioursand working practices
· Provide expectations for 3rdparty service providers on acceptable attitudes, behaviors and working practices
· Share knowledge and best practices and actively participate in workshops
· Create, maintain & enhance effective working relationships and identify andminimiseinterpersonal conflict. Maintain effective communication with all work colleagues at all levels
· Be a proactive member of the Supply Chain team
· Review stock replenishment levels on an regular basis
· Support materials related deliverable requirements at Dales Base (Onshore Base)
· Conduct routine checks to ensure compliance is met in all material related matters,utilisingthe company's compliance tools available

Education Attainment & Accreditation
· Business, Finance, Law degree or equivalent or experience through on the job training and development

Professional skills & Experience
· Good experience of SCM operations in the Oil & Gas Industry preferably with an Operator or Tier 1 Contractor
· Good experience of Materials Management in the UKCS with anall-roundunderstanding of the demands of operations, reservoir & wells and project support
· Experience of coaching and mentoring Offshore Materials Controllers
· Good experience in Materials Management, Inventory Management and Warehousing Operations
· Good experience with ERP/EAMS systems (specifically Maximo) and other associated SCM systems and their application and reporting capabilities in relation to Materials Management
· Knowledge of improvement and change management methods

Interpersonal Skills & Qualities
· Experience in a supervisory role with small teams
· Must demonstrate exemplary commitment to HSE practice
· Demonstrable communication skills at all organizational levels
· Committed team player with a high degree of self-motivation
· Ability to structure and solve problems using initiative, imagination and resourcefulness

Circumstances
· Ability to travel to sites outside of Aberdeen -Peterhead, Flotta and offshore installations - as required by the business and undertake any medical or training courses required to complete the necessary travel
· Ability to travel to supplier/contractor premises outside of Aberdeen and the UK - as required by the business

Our Client is an O&G exploration and production company based in Aberdeen who operate in the North Sea. They have interests in a large number of fields, the majority of which they operate, on the UK Continental Shelf with numerous offshore installations and one onshore terminal.
