One Key Resources, part of the Fircroft Group, is a specialist provider of Managed Workforce and Labour Hire solutions to the Mining, Oil & Gas and Infrastructure Industries. An employer of choice, One Key Resources employs Open Cut and Underground Operators, Tradespeople and Support Staff at close to 100 locations across Australia.

We are seeking an experienced Storesperson for an Open Cut Coal Mine site in the Gunnedah Valley near Boggabri for a Permanent position. Our client is a Tier 1 Mining Contractor who requires skilled, experienced and safety minded individual's for ongoing opportunities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain stores/laydown areas and stock in accordance with manufacturers requirements and BGC Contracting procedures and as directed by your Supervisor.
  • Ensure stock is maintained and according to required targets specified by Supervisor.
  • Adhere to the BGC Contracting materials management work standard, service exchange work procedure and the parts tagging work procedure.
  • Display a positive attitude towards safety, the environment and colleagues.
  • Adopt a flexible approach to tasks and comply with directions from Supervisor to undertake task peripheral to your main task.
  • Attend and pro-actively contribute to tool box meetings.
  • Undertake housekeeping duties as required.
  • Undertake training as required by your Supervisor.
  • Adhere to the BGC Contracting materials management work standard, service exchange work procedure and the parts tagging work procedure.
  • Other duties as directed by your direct Manager/Supervisor.
  • Conduct Stocktaking and spot-checking of Site inventory as directed/required.
  • Inspection of work area, equipment and Warehouse for hazards, damage and defects.
  • Loading and unloading of Inventory from Heavy vehicle and warehouse locations.
  • Identification and investigation of anomalies between physical and recorded Inventory levels.
  • Maintain the Warehouse in an orderly and hygienic manner

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Certificate II in Warehousing and Distribution is desirable
  • 3 - 5 years' of experience working as a storeperson on a mine site.
  • Ability to work in remote locations as required
  • Sound knowledge of the contracting/mining industry
  • Demonstrate knowledge of receivable and despatch
  • Knowledge of JDEdward system is highly regarded
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work autonomously

The qualifications/certifications required include:

  • 'HR' class Australian Driver's Licence
  • High Risk forklift licence
  • EWP, High Risk, Crane Licence is desirable
  • Current Driver's License
