One Key Resources, part of the Fircroft Group, is a specialist provider of Managed Workforce and Labour Hire solutions to the Mining, Oil & Gas and Infrastructure Industries. We are seeking a Study Specialist - Engineering x 3 to work at our clients head office based in Adelaide. This position will be initially for 12+ months with the potential to go a little longer depending on the project demands.

Our client is a Tier 1 Mining contractor who requires skilled, experienced and safety minded individuals for ongoing opportunities. Lead defined activities in support of the Study Leads in the development of non-major projects through coordination of external and internal activities to deliver fit for purpose project outcomes. Provide consistency across portfolio / studies in area of assigned expertise

Your main responsibilities in this role are as per below:

  • Lead defined activities in support of the Study Leads in the development of non-major projects through coordination of external and internal activities to deliver fit for purpose project outcomes. Provide consistency across portfolio / studies in area of assigned expertise
  • This role is for the development of Mine studies. The project engineer will work with the Study Lead to assist in the development of the project through Identification Phase Study, Selection Phase Study and Definition Phase Study
  • Typically 2-8 years' experience in an Operational / Engineering / Project role

The qualifications/certifications and experience required include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering / Business / Finance
  • 5-8 years' experience in an Operational / Engineering / Project role
  • Stakeholder management and integration - Understands the role of stakeholders and builds relationships to promote effective working relationships
  • Safety and risk - understanding of HSEC, risk analysis and control
  • Contractor management - Ability to manage contractors to meet scope, costs and schedule
  • Change management - Understanding of management of change
  • Value Improvement - Proposes new approaches, methods or technology
  • Analytical thinking - Applies structured logic to solve problems
  • Influencing others - Involves others in a process or decision to ensure their support. Seeks out and builds relationship with others who can provide information
  • Communication - Clear and effective oral and written communication skills
  • Facilitation - Able to facilitate meetings and workshops
  • Resilience - Able to work effectively in a challenging environment, deal with change positively
  • Be able to fly to site for 2/3 days at a time when required
  • Must be based in Adelaide
  • Available for the full duration of the contract period
