Our client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions the transmission and distribution industry

The Role:
My client is looking to recruit an experienced Sales Professional who will take responsibility for selling a large project portfolio based on robotic solutions. Reporting to Sales manager, the appointed candidate will support proposals and Engineering solutions to meet customers needs. The main objectives are to secure additional sales of new robots and systems (within their overall strategy) and create, maintain and improve their market awareness, reputation and individual relationships. The successful candidate will be highly skilled in developing & increasing profitability of a business (ideally with Systems and Robots) within a defined customer group, with specific focus on robot products and developing 3rd party integrators.

Key duties will include:

• Drive business development plans for various existing accounts and look to increase your territory.
• Develop a broad customer base both with end users and system Integrators
• With assistance from the applications team, look to build compelling value proposals.
• Build internal relationships and influence Customers at all levels
• Develop account plans in line with the Sales strategy.
• Identify and report market and competitor trends which are relevant to the Customer/Industry

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Mechanical engineering qualification preferred however relevant experience with no qualifications will still be considered.
• Domain/industry/application experience in robot automation
• Self Motivated
• Experience of Strategic and value based sales.
• Strong Facilitator and negotiator
• Ability to identify and take sales opportunities
• Able to see different perspectives (e.g. Customer, and Channel Partners)
• Creative strategic thinker with good business planning and management skills
• Good communication skills at all levels
• Able to successfully interface with customers at all levels
• Ability to transfer knowledge to others
• Strong management reporting
