The Role:
Job Role

- Responsible for ‘day to day’ management, development and retention of Independent Retailer and Car Dealership channels.
- Responsible for the delivery of sales through these channels
- Responsible for the effective management of sales order processing
- Responsible for the coordination of the supply channel with key OEM & OES accounts.
- Deputies for the Hardware Distribution Manager when absent.

Main Duties and Accountabilities

- Build, manage and retain relationships with vehicle manufacturers (HQ’s and local offices) existing accounts through regular and effective contact in order to deliver sales target. Where necessary this may require a site visit.
- Effective management of the Sales Order Processing team (80% ASM accounts 20% direct business) in order to maximize fulfillment of orders, and achieve a motivated team with clear succession plan.
- Support Vodafone Automotive Area Sales Managers to achieve their results.
- Communicate new Cobra ES, Vodafone CobraTrak/NavTrak proposition, agree new terms with existing accounts and support implementation within the Independent Retailers, Car Dealerships and Cobra.
- Develop and maintain Cobra ES, Vodafone CobraTrak/NavTrak product knowledge within these channels, specifically focusing on features and benefits to effectively close a sale within selling/fitting outlets and to qualify leads in selling only outlets.
- Monitor performance of each account in line with targets, motivate and support to maintain sales.
- Fully understand the functioning of the Production and Warehousing areas in order to provide effective management of these areas in the absence of the Hardware Distribution Manager.
- Research, develop, maintain and actively demonstrate knowledge of Telematics, Vehicle Tracking and Automotive industries. Share information and update intranet based ‘Centre of Knowledge’.
- Actively seek support from individuals within the business to help achieve personal and business targets and to resolve situations, which may impact on sales.
- Provide regular sales report updates including OEM/Dealer sales vs. target and communicate objections.
- Coordinate stock distribution and maintain control of stock dispatched to OEM / OES accounts.
- Liaise with the warehouse to ensure correct stock despatched to OEM / OES accounts
- Manage the timely resolution of customers & RSM concerns and consider that there is a dotted reporting line to the role for such matters.
- Manage the Dealer Demonstrator program within Car Dealerships and undertake monthly reconciliation with them and obtain new owner details.
- Develop and manage effective communication within Vodafone Automotive at all levels
- Pro-actively suggest ways to improve delivery of service
- Attend a monthly one to one with your line manager
- Participate in work based development activities as identified by yourself or your line manager
