The Role:
“Only candidates who already have the rights to work in Azerbaijan will be considered for this role”.
The individual will have general financial reporting and taxation duties to support operations of the Branch in Azerbaijan. The key responsibility is to ensure financial compliance with local accounting and tax reporting rules. This will involve dual language (English and Azeri) accounting and a requirement to learn the differences between the accounting policies required for Azeri reporting and policies required by company for their own corporate reporting.
Physical Accounts processing
- Ensure all items processed to the General Ledger can be understood by Azeri and English speakers
- The coding of invoices and journals to the General ledger, where possible complies with both Azeri and company Accounting Policies.
- Other accounts processing as required
Banking and cash flows
- Assist in the management of the bank account, reconciliation, fund transfers, handling of petty cash. Assist with preparation of regular cash flows for the business.
- Preparation of tax reports required by Azeri law – “Simplified tax report”, “VAT tax report” and “Payroll tax report”.
Month End Financial Accounting
- Assistance with the preparation of working documents for company's Month End requirements.
- Assistance with the completion of monthly reporting packages.
Month End Management Reporting
- Participate in the preparation of management reports on a regular basis.

- Ad hoc administrative and financial duties that arise on a day-to-day basis
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly reports to State Social Protection Fund, State Statistics Committee, State Employment Service
Third Party liaison
- Liaison with third parties including bankers, auditors, lawyers and other advisors
