The Company:
Our client is a leading integrated energy company with offices globally and employing over 50,000 people. Due to a significant uplift in projects and activity we are currently looking to recruit an Accounting Analyst to undertake a key role evaluating compliance and internal policies and procedures. The role is based in the corporate headquarters in Warsaw, Poland.

The Role:
• Perform cost analysis of actual versus budgetary estimates and to perform end of well reconciliations.
• Position responsible for all drilling accounting functions .
• In conjunction with Chief Accountant, document local accounting principles
• Ensure corporate accounting policies are followed .
• Shared responsibility with second Accounting Analyst for invoice processing, including compliance checks on invoices; ensuring relevant DOA approval of invoices; and ensuring that invoices are paid in a timely manner.
• Maintain account reconciliations assigned to the position in compliance with requirements and manage to conclusion any outstanding issues.
• Analyze and monitor intercompany accounts payables/receivables activities, coordinate proper documentation for local purposes.
• Handles audit queries with internal and external auditors and submit statistical reporting.
• Prepare expenditures forecast for quarterly financing .

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in financial discipline
• Additional professional financial qualifications will be of benefit but no essential
• Ideally experience working in an international organisation working in English and Polish accounting environment
• Awareness of advanced accounting functions including drilling accounting, exploration accounting, differentiation of tangible & intangible costs• Strong analytical skills to prepare budget/forecast for Warsaw Office
• Excellent communication skills including business level fluency in English and Polish
