The Company:
Our client is a large independent oil and gas company focused on helping meet the world’s energy needs.

The Role:
This position is responsible for participating in various internal and external financial reporting processes.
Prepare and file required State filing:
Royalties, NPSL, Production taxes, Production volumes, Monthly revenue calculation, Create and send out invoice, Send revenue support to revenue accounting, Create future month nominations, Month end close process, Inventory account reconciliation, Capital, LOE, and Inventory accruals, Time Billing for the joint account, Reclass Journal entries
Prepare financial statements and footnotes for internal reporting purposes including: Monthly Financial Package to be distributed to executives and asset team management. Provide information to corporate for the Quarterly Form 10-Q and Annual Form 10-K. Monthly analysis on capital spending and LOE. Budget vs. actual. Manage Onsite Accounts Payable Staff
Lead and/or participate in ad hoc projects as assigned by management.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or finance required. CPA license or CPA candidate working toward license is preferred. Eight years accounting experience required with a minimum three years in public accounting or oil and gas industry experience. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Must be outgoing and able to work well with others. Must be a problem solver and a self-starter
