The Role:
Under direct supervision, performs semi-routine accounting clerical duties which may include checking, verifying, posting journal entries, and maintaining general ledgers and vouchers. Includes trainees and normally is classified as non-exempt.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

7. Provides Clerical Support to Accounting team and is responsible for performing somewhat routine office tasks such as filing, compiling, and maintaining records, copying, posting, and other similar duties.
8. Operates a computer terminal, typewriter, and other office machines.
9. Assist with Accounts Payable, including working in the accounting system to efficiently process invoices
10. Working effectively with internal and external contacts (e.g., vendors and other departments)
11. Opens mail, stamps and logs invoices, applies vendor numbers, codes invoices, and batches invoices.
12. Assist AP Field Accountants with duties acquired from other offices if needed.
13. Performs other duties as required.
14. Performs other tasks that may be assigned.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-Candidate must have experience inputting invoices into Oracle's AP module. This group inputs at a minimum of 100 invoices a day and we're looking candidates to have experience inputting that many invoices a day.
-The incumbent will be manually entering invoices into Oracle’s AP module. Candidates must have experience working within Oracle’s AP module and excellent data entry skills.
-High School Degree or equivalent
-1 year previous clerical experience.
-Proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel) and Oracle’s AP module
-Familiarity with office equipment (fax machine, copier, etc.)
-Great attention to detail.
-Able to work independently and deliver results according to deadlines.
-Excellent understanding of computer software and able to multi-task.
