The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Acoustic Engineer to deliver DSP tuning files to meet customer expectations on quality and performance for in vehicle audio. The engineer must have a fundamental grasp of Acoustics and Digital Signal Processing. They will tune the audio system of a vehicle to optimise performance and meet JLR standards. This will involve setting up crossovers, limiters and flow path of the amplifier. The engineer will work with state of the art DSP processing on powerful amplifiers involving audio, telephony and NVH features.

Skills Required:
3 KEY SKILLS Acoustics - Degree level understanding of acoustics. Digital Signal Processing - Degree level understand of DSP. Acoustic Tuning - Experience tuning audio systems this could include speakers/headphone/automotive/aerospace.

Experience Required:
Experience working digital signal processing including IIR/FIR filters, dynamics processors and flow paths to tune audio system to meet quality and performance targets. Must have degree in Acoustics / Physics / Electronics.

Experience Preferred:
Previous experience with tuning speakers in automotive or consumer using digital signal processing. Automotive experience will be beneficial.

Additional Information :
The candidate must exhibit good business behaviours and work well under strict time constraints. The candidate must be well organised and work well independently. Training in how to follow our internal tuning process will be given however any experience that will speed up the time from starting to full capability will be beneficial.
