The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Working within a team of highly skilled Engineers, you’ll oversee and take part in the delivery of the sensors and actuators, key to new features within the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
You’ll support sub-teams responsible for specific aspects of the sensors and actuators ultrasonic’ s, cameras or radars - working to resolve technical issues, and ensuring the timely delivery of high quality components. This extremely complex area of our engineering programme will call for a significant level of communication with various specialist engineering system teams.
You’ll also be expected to liaise with suppliers to ensure all targets are met and technical issues resolved quickly.

Working across all of our Vehicle Programmes, the ADAS Sensors and Actuators Project Engineer will:
- Liaise with our key suppliers to understand the deliverables and timing for all of the components
- Work with the ADAS Module Teams to understand each Programme Requirement and ensure that all deliverables are met at Programme Gateways
- Ensure all Technical aspects of the sensors / actuators have been considered in the design, definition, development and test stages of the Projects
- Structure plans for the ADAS Sensors and Actuators, to cover the design, development and test phases for each component
- Monitor and give status across the projects.
- Manage all issues arising during the project
- Liaise with other client teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Test & Validation etc.) to resolve issues and get resources in place
- Work within the key client processes e.g. Grade, DFMEA, AIMS, EMC, Gateways, and Device Transmittals

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Teamwork in engineering component development and validation projects
2. Detailed understanding of electronic components - specification, development and validation. Experience of critiquing component designs and understanding of EMC impacts
3. Ability to plan and deliver project work accurately under pressure. Target setting and delivery Structured problem solving Excellent IT skills

At least 5 years engineering electronic systems in design/development/validation Delivery of Electronic components
Liaising with suppliers Gateway based programme delivery

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Extensive experience working in Automotive Engineering projects Delivery of ADAS projects
Engineering Degree in Electrical/Electronics
