The Role:
JOB TITLE: Administrator and Business Support Assistant
LOCATION: Cleator Moor
SALARY: Dependent on experience and qualification


To provide support for short and long-term PLC, control, safety systems, electrical and instrumentation projects, for nuclear power plant, oil and gas installations and domains throughout the UK and worldwide. Working under supervision, either individually or as part of a team, to deliver high quality work to time, quality, budget, customer satisfaction and meeting all safety success criteria’s. Covering and supporting various topics within the company including accounting, economics, marketing, finance, human resources and management. Whilst contributing to general activities within the company on a day-by-day such as introduction of employees and clients, answering telephone calls and general office housekeeping aligning with Security and Staff Handbook procedures.


A business administrator's job is to oversee all functions related to managing a business.
Managerial functions include planning, controlling, organizing, staffing and directing the operations of the business. Assuring that the business reaches its financial goals is a major function of the business administrator.
Continually develops business and administration knowledge and competence in field of expertise, and seeks to develop a skilled portfolio. The Administrator and Business Support Assistant shall successfully execute high quality support and administrative duties to time, quality, budget, customer satisfaction.
Once SQEP’ed (Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person) the Administrator and Business Support Assistant shall be expected to mentor younger junior administrators and / or secretary apprentices as part of their key business and administrative development. The Administrator and Business Support Assistant is to promote learning, be IT literate and biased as well as remain professional at all times in addition to be an ambassador for the company both in and out of work.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Preferably educated to Level 3 NVQ Business Administration or higher, however ONC and Level 2 Business Administration is considered as a must have criteria in a business, management or administrative discipline.

The appointed Administrator and Business Support Assistant should have specific knowledge in administration, management or business techniques etc., and knowledge and experience of client facing organisations meeting their expectations. Evidence should be provided of dealing with difficult situations and scenarios and how these were adequately handled and delivered.

Experience within the Nuclear Power Plant, Oil and Gas Domains is ideally required.

A desirable minimum of 2 Years is required to fulfil this position in a fully competent role as well as meeting all other factors, specifically behavioural skills.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Added benefits would be the capability to contribute towards engineering support making the individual more diverse and increase their own skillsets whilst making the business more viable; as its assets are its employees fundamentally. Examples of this are Relux FEED Development, simple AutoCAD generations and administration tasks within Amtech Power Software.
Previous work on finance software and applications is desirable, however not essential.
