Our client is a leading global oil and gas operating company.

The Role:
Description:
This position is part of the North Slope Support Group (NSSG). The NSSG is a sub-department within Logistics and Infrastructure, a function within the AK Operations Unit. The NSSG provides travel and billeting support for most of the slope-based Company workforce – Contractor and direct Company.

Responsibilities:
• Process email/phone requests for new flights by using Flightplan and PLS (Oracle databases).
• Process incoming requests for schedule modifications or manifest changes in flights.
• Process incoming email/phone billeting requests.
• Understand and utilize the name-change process to ensure maximum confirmations for all requests.
• Communicate confirmed changes to the appropriate staff on the Slope.
• Understand and prepare the weekly Aviation/Exception report
• Process new hire information by setting up FlightPlan and PLS profiles
• Maintain up-to-date reference materials at workstation, including SS Flight Schedules, Bus Schedules and Contact information
• Maintain accurate digital records of all requests and changes--used for reference
• Key operator designation for nearby printers and fax machine-maintain consumable levels
• Special projects as requested

• With effect 3.1.14: Process all flight and billiting requests and changes using Shared Services (SS) iLogistics
System.

Deliverables:
• An in-depth understanding of Flight data systems
• An understanding of the Company functional org charts and the client work schedules.
• Professional demeanour, ability to communicate effectively with travelers, North Slope Admins, North Slope Team Leaders and Central Reservations staff.
• Adjust to constantly changing priorities and or workloads. .
• Must be willing and able to work a shifting 4/10 schedule
• Must be willing and able to work 6 am to 4 pm
• Must be willing and able to work a rotating schedule that includes weekend shifts and holidays

Knowledge of:
• Use of web-based applications is part of the job
• Familiarization with Windows OS 7, IE 8 and Chrome

Skills/Behaviours:

This position requires a sense of propriety and consideration for others.
This position functions with minimal supervision and direction but within a team atmosphere. This position requires the ability to work on a non-standard, rotating, workweek utilizing a 4:10 schedule.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Suite X with a high emphasis on Excel use.
• Associates degree desired but not mandatory
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required– regular communications with inter-department and cross-slope personnel is part of the job.
• Proven analytical thinking and problem solving skills
• Ability to prioritize work with minimum supervision

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• 5+ years administrative experience
• Prior North Slope, Company office, or SSA Travel Planner experience
