The Company:
Our major Oil & Gas Client is in need of an Administrative Assistant - Senior (10+ years) in Houston, Texas.

The Role:
Job Purpose: To facilitate the achievement of team goals and objectives by providing business systems, project management and analytical support to the Vice President – External Affairs and External Affairs Team
- Support the compliance and implementation requirements of the Company’s branding standard.
- Conducts research and analytical studies on a variety of programs and issues.
- Assist in the development of key standards and processes for Petroleum External Affairs and Community.
- Provide EA support to the Emergency Response Communications Team.
- Provide feedback / suggestions on achievements / issues within the Department.
- Composition and production of high quality documents and presentations, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness.
- Editorial control of reports (including checking grammar, format, etc.) to ensure uniformity of presentational style in departmental reports, publications, newsletters.
- Coordination of on-line photo library.
- Development and maintenance of the department’s website where applicable.
- Preparation of spreadsheets for departmental registers where applicable.
- Proper usage of MS Office productivity tools including (erooms, Petroleum Extranet Portal, Documentum, Network Drive).
- Establish and maintain Documentum and Eroom content for Global External Affairs team.
- Use of 1SAP to raise requisitions, create service entry sheets, manage workflow arising from departmental procurement.
- Provides staff support to committees or other departments, as assigned.
- May assist in budget preparation and administration.
- Other projects / assignments as assigned.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Communications preferred.
- Minimum of eight (8) years clerical or administrative experience .
- At least two (2) years experience in the oil and gas industry, highly desirable.
- High degree of flexibility in work assignments.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organization skills.
- Well-developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Word, and ability to create PDF files from native format files required.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment.
- Strong team orientation.
- Initiative and creativity is required.
- Must be a self-starter and be able to plan and use time to maximum benefit.
- Ability to prioritize work with a minimum of supervision.
