The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
This is a newly created position and an exciting opportunity to work in the JLR Aftermarket Supply Team. In this role you will be expected to manage a portfolio of JLR suppliers, delivering best in class Supplier Schedule Compliance on the Jaguar brand to deliver key availability and back order metrics. You will need to demonstrate initiative by working proactively within the team to understand root cause and identify and deliver improvement opportunities. You should encourage a positive collaborative working environment. (This is currently a temporary position to support the team and may require some data analysis support work as well as managing a portfolio of suppliers).

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Manage parts portfolio and associate supply base to ensure schedule compliance is achieved and parts availability is maximised
To expedite material from JLR suppliers in line with schedule requirements
Establish and maintain supplier ETAs for scheduled requirements
Work with JLR suppliers to identify root cause issues and deliver improvements in performance, back order reduction and parts availability
Establish recovery plans with suppliers and negotiate improvements where applicable. Escalate to Supply Management as appropriate.
Co-ordinate and facilitate regular performance reviews with JLR suppliers as required
Ensure that appropriate business information is communicated rapidly and effectively
Establish ETA for critical customer requirements against tight timescales, and provide progress details to Customer Service agents
Work cross functionally both internally and externally to verify and/or resolve queries on supplier deliveries

You will demonstrate considerable experience of the parts business and/or knowledge of the supply base with a broad understanding of the individual functions (and their interdependency) within the Parts operation
Results oriented with a determination to make things happen.
A highly motivated, energetic and pro-active individual.
Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment is essential
Able to forge excellent working relationships with suppliers, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups, managers, executives verbally and in writing.
A high level of analytical ability and negotiation skills
Well organised with a process orientation with great attention to detail and ability to manage priorities.
Confident and out-going with, excellent inter-personal and influencing skills, possessing advanced communication and presentational skills.
Min of 2 years in a planning/procurement role within an aftermarket or manufacturing facility
