The Role:
Our leading client is currently seeking a Advisor (Contracting & Procurement) to be based in Qatar on a residential basis.

Procurement responsibilities include project materials management which such as purchasing, expediting, logistics, spare parts management, and project material closeout activities that occur during the engineering and fabrication phases of the project. In addition, the position will have responsibility for confirming the delivery of materials to Site during the project Construction phase and supplying material procurement and logistics data as needed to the Construction and other Project disciplines.

The Advisor (Contracting & Procurement) will interface directly with the EPC Contractor's Procurement, Logistics/ Expediting and Business teamsto support their Supervisor and the P&C team achieve resolution of issues requiring the involvement of EPC functions & Resources. They will be critical in providing early warnings of upcoming procurement and expediting issues with potential cost and/ or schedule impacts on the Project. To accomplish this, the Advisor (Contracting & Procurement) will also liaise frequesntly with the Project Management Team (PMT) Home Office Senior Advisor (Project Procurement)

Contracting responsibilities include Contract Administration, drafting and issuing formal letters to EPC Contractor, advising PMT on contractual position with regards to potential changes or extension of time from EPC Contractor, initiating activities of Claims avoidance to protect PMT's interests, and taking lead on resolution of Claims, with input from the company legal department as necessary. The Advisor (Contracting & Procurement) will have the responsibility to define and execute contract administration processes and coorinate interfacesinternally and the the EPC Contractor from date of assignment through to EPC Contract close out.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Preferably a Third level qualification in the respective area of specialization, from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 8-10 years experience within Contracting, experience of direct involvement in at least one contract close-out, and a minimum of 5-7 years experience within Procurement disciplines. The experience could have been obtained in parallel.
Fluent in English language (oral, verbal and written)
Ability to work in a multicultural and multinatioanl environments.
