The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer and is currently experiencing an upturn in production with demand increasing globally.

The Role:
Responsible for expert theoretical and practical Whole Vehicle Refinement skills to provide engineering design, development and problem resolution in Aerodynamics.

To plan & conduct wind tunnel test programmes to develop vehicles in order to achieve aerodynamic performance targets.
To communicate with Styling and Engineering functions in order to effect aerodynamic change in body styles and components.
To compile specifications for aerodynamics test models and manage the build process.
Contribute to the continuing development of the Aerodynamics team by helping to define processes and introduce appropriate technology.
Presenting test results and aerodynamics technical information to Project Technical Meeting and other Engineering and multi-functional forums.

Key Skills
Ability to manage activity budget as agreed by Functional Manager & Senior Engineer
Proven problem solving experience
Understand issues associated with design, testing and manufacturing systems.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
German language capability would be advantageous
Several years of experience in the aerodynamic development of passenger cars is preferred
Knowledge of aerodynamics or fluids engineering
Practical experience of wind tunnel testing scale and full-scale vehicle models and vehicles
Familiarity with computational fluid dynamics technology and/or CATIA V5 would be an advantage
