Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
MAIN GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

To support the Aftersales Function and the end sale item process by providing the necessary analysis to support optimised decisions. Working within the Product and Launch Management team, in conjunction with the platform co-ordinator, the role is across the Aftersales function, utilising the necessary business systems to analyse new project part content and service part usage. In addition to benchmarking group partners within the platform and part usage over the product lifetime. The analysis is used to optimise the new project stocking decisions and stock development over the lifetime of the vehicle, optimising Aftersales inventory.
The platform analyst will also interrogate the business systems and information to support strategic decisions on influencing the product in the early stages of concept development e.g. part price, fitted part price and labour operation times to allow the platform managers to target key design recommendations which would lead to maximising Aftersales revenue.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Platform Analysis
• Consolidate data from essential sources (e.g. Bill of Material, TEVON, AVON, POPIMS etc)
• Benchmark analysis of stock usage, stock turn, regional differences and development of stock over the vehicle lifetime and develop key reports which facilitate robust stocking decisions within the End Sale item process
• Analyse and assess Aftersales data which allows robust definition of Aftersales requirements within new projects e.g. top warranty issues, top service costs, consolidation of key weakpoints and key service feedback and CEM data
• Interrogate and use Aftersales data to allow strategic actions to be defined within new product development e.g. part cost, fitted cost and labour times, to maximise revenue and customer satisfaction
• Capture common dealer part shortages and lessons learnt to improve the stocking strategy project on project
• Conduct ad-hoc and detailed part analysis for the function as and when required

Reporting
• Optimise and report the ESI process
• Define the key stock measures and report regularly
• Develop clear reports which detail the inventory situation for each product line and the development of this stock over the lifecycle
• Develop and manage clear reports which detail the inventory usage and highlight slow and non-moving stock
• Present analysis results in a clear and consistent manner to support decisions
• Utilise business objects to assess data across systems

Tracking
• Support the Aftersales Platform Managers in tracking the loading, sourcing and stocking profile of new projects.
• Further develop and own key metrics which describe the stocking profile for new projects

Aftersales support
• Support the Platform co-ordinator in the End Sale item meeting
• Support the Platform Co-ordinator in driving the Engineering Change process within Aftersales and the corresponding correction of the part availability within POPIMs (restrictions etc…)
• Apply/remove correct restrictions •


SPECIFIC INFORMATION FOR ROLE

- Accountable for transparent reporting of project stock status (300 – 6000 parts /project)
- Support Engineering change process (2000-3000 changes)
- Analysis Aftersales inventory (80,000 parts)

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• BOM skills desirable
• Business Objects skills desirable
• AVON skills desirable
• TEVON Experience desirable
• Communication and Networking Skills
• Proven ability to work as part of a cross-functional team to deliver results
• Exposure to PEP and Engineering Change Processes & Systems, including VW systems
• Proven ability to organise and run Meetings and Workshops
• Automotive Retail Experience beneficial

PRACTICAL & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

• Proficiency and great breath of understanding in all Microsoft Office Applications

QUALIFICATIONS

• Educated to Degree Level in an Engineering or Commercial Discipline
