The Role:
MAIN GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Today's motor car is embracing connectivity and providing customers with more services and features than ever before. As a consequence the development of a connected car is placing very different demands on the Aftersales processes, systems and organisational structures, which ensure the luxury in-service support our customers expect.

This role is responsible for guiding the Connected Car project within Aftersales. Participating in a cross-business team and liaising with Group experts, Sales and Marketing, Engineering and IT to ensure that the Aftersales team is able to robustly support our Dealers and our Customers with the correct processes and knowledge.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (Maximum of 5 relating to products, services etc.)

1. Support the development of a cross-model line Connected Car strategy for a luxury car manufacturer.

• To support the set-up of a brand-appropriate cross-model line Connected Car strategy for the company within the structure of the Group organisation.
• To actively participate and represent Aftersales within the Connected car project teams
• To clearly define and understand the customer-focused service offering for the company Connected Car program.
• To establish a clear business case for any additional Aftersales features necessary to deliver luxury service
• To ensure alignment and understanding of the Group developments across the Connected Car for Aftersales.

2. Project Management of the Connected Car strategy within Aftersales

• In conjunction with the Aftersales Product and Launch team define and gain buy-in for the required project plan and activities
• Facilitate the implementation of the different roll out phases within Aftersales, report the status, track delivery and flag deviations and risks.
• To ensure the set-up of new and adaptation of existing Aftersales processes that will be impacted on by the Connected Car program.
• To liaise with the Aftersales functions to ensure that the owner literature, service information, diagnostics, technical support and the Aftersales customer support processes are in place to support a connected car
• To present progress at Connected Car Steering Committee, Aftersales first line and Working Group when required.


3. Support the definition and development of Luxury connected car

• Interrogate full range of features and data capture which will be enabled with the integration of the Group solution for connected car.
• Facilitate assessments of this functionality within Aftersales and support the development of a ‘luxury’ Aftersales service using this functionality.
• Work within the connected car project team to develop this requirement for our customers, liasing with Engineering, Sales & Marketing and IT.
• Support the development of any supporting training materials for the network and internally within Aftersales.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Participation within or experience of leading cross-functional technology projects within the automotive or telecommunications industries.
• Experience of product strategy (technology related) and lifecycle management.
• Project management skills with the ability to effectively plan, organise, prioritise and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Strong influencing skills
• Ability to self-start, demonstrate proactivity, take initiative, continually improvement and evolve oneself.
• A strong appreciation of the voice of the customer and of customer values in relation to technology products.
• Excellent communication skills with strong presentation skills
• Excellent command of the English language and demonstrable experience of communicating effectively, both verbally and written.
• Collaborative working style with a strong focus on team working.
• Experience of automotive industry, the dealer network model and the associated sales process preferred.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
PRACTICAL & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
• Understanding of Connected Car program or in-car mobile integration (from any automotive manufacturer) extremely beneficial.
• Experience of internet connectivity, application solutions, data management, mobile services and management of user journeys extremely beneficial
• Experience of backend solutions to front end usage would also be beneficial



QUALIFICATIONS
• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Project management qualification beneficial.
• Appropriate professional qualification from fields of Marketing or IT desirable.
