The Role:
Diesel Calibration Vehicle Technician

Key Responsibilities & Tasks: -
* Interface to workshop and test facilities as required to achieve set tasks/goals.
* To work as a member of a team to keep vehicles updated with correct level h/w and controls.
* Arrange installation of required instrumentation with relevant workshop groups.
* Organize vehicle test fleet activities - climatic test in chamber and test trip organization. * Arranging shipment of vehicles and equipment as required.

This position requires sufficient knowledge & experience of Diesel Engines and their installation to be able to organize mechanical repairs and some investigative work. Carry out administrative duties (documentation of vehicles, registration, tax etc., coordination and records keeping, shipping documentation, requisitioning equipment and materials). Keeping and working to plans as required to support the calibration team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Engine and P/T installation component knowledge required.
* Experience of Diesel Engines, a knowledge of their design & build required
* Good communication skills in English language, written and oral.
* Ability to negotiate support from interfacing engineering activities.
* Ideally experienced in dealing with workshop environment/processes.
* Ability to use all standard Microsoft Office applications required and with client specific systems an advantage.
* Experience of Engine Control system calibration tools.
* Minimum HNC/ONC diploma qualified.
* Full valid UK driving license for duration of contract

Candidate must also be able to travel in Western Europe.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Knowledge of specific systems and processes - GPDS, eFDVS, TestNet, etc
