The Role:
Lion V6 Program Support Engineer

Background: -
Lion V6 Diesel Engines are manufactured at Dagenham Engine plant for a varied range of Ford and non-Ford vehicle customers. Like all modern powertrains, the Lion engine needs to continuously develop to meet stringent new emissions targets and customer driven fuel economy and refinement requirements. The re-engineering of this engine is carried out by Ricardo. The key responsibility is then to help manage the programs from the our client's side and to be the 'go to' person in Dagenham for the engineering and vehicle teams.

Position Responsibilities:-
* Program control
* Conduct program deliverable management via online software tool (Integrator)
* Provide program summary (scorecard) to program level meetings (EPMT)
* Production releasing of new engine assemblies and components into database (WERS)
* Detailed review of production releases to ensure all requirements are met and release is suitable for final audit.(WERS WACTS/ Drawings/ PPM Audit)
* Conduct BOM reviews to ensure integrity of engine assemblies
* Engine plant support for new program prototype phases
* Part order coordination for engine and vehicle parts
* Purchase support for prototype parts. Engineering team and customer vehicle plant on- site support.
* Support and feedback into the Lion change management process. (ECC)
* Manage the issues list (AIMS) for all on-going product development (OPD) issues.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Engineering Degree or related discipline.
* Knowledge of Powertrain Development Process.
* Understanding & practical knowledge of GPDS
* Working knowledge of WERS, Integrator, AIMS & AVBOM.
* Proficient in the use of project management tools and techniques - Microsoft Project/ Excel, Powerpoint, Word & Outlook.
* Proficient in Sharepoint site management.
* Engineering Degree or related discipline.
