The Role:
CAE Engineer - Durability

The role will enable the team to deliver CAE DV plans for the various engine programs to meet GPDS milestones and to ensure engine components meet QCWF targets. The successful applicant will execute CAE (Finite Element) analyses of core engine components and sub-systems, in order to optimise and verify designs for durability and dynamics.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience of carrying out CAE analyses in a technical product development environment.
* Strong and demonstrable understanding of mechanics
* Proven ability to use relevant software packages, ABAQUS and Hypermesh
* Degree in Mechanical or related engineering disciplines

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience in optimisation/DoE techniques, especially use of iSight/modeFrontier
* Experience of carrying out CAE analysis in an automotive (preferably powertrain) product development environment.
