The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The following responsibilities are applicable to the application of Air Suspension technology on all client vehicles:
- Establish required Air Suspension system performance and select appropriate technology for new vehicle programmes.
- Integrate Air Suspension system components in to the architecture of new vehicle programmes. Represent Air Suspension design team at client packaging meetings.
- Develop concept designs for Air Suspension components to achieve Air Suspension system performance.
- Hand over concept designs to Air Suspension component engineers to develop production feasible designs.
- Coach, guide and support Air Suspension component engineers to develop component designs and release designs for production.
- Lead Air Suspension design reviews with Air Suspension component design team.
- Resolve Air Suspension design issues using appropriate problem solving techniques (SPD, 8D, DMAIC) and maintain accurate status in the AIM system.
- Utilise Failure Mode Avoidance techniques. Maintain Foundation FMEAs. Support component design engineers in the application of project FMEAs.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1) Significant component design and release experience in the Automotive Industry.
2) Good team working and communication skills.
3) CAD experience.

- Degree educated or proven experience
- CATIA V5 / V6 skills.
- Experienced in the practice of Failure Mode Avoidance toolset (FMEA)
