Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
My client is looking to expand its consultancy and delivery service in the oil, gas, petrochemicals and chemicals sectors. They have an exciting opportunity for an Alarm Management Consultant to join, and be based, in their Consulting team in Aberdeen.

The role of Alarm Management Consultant will include, but not limited to:

• Carrying out analysis of alarm data to identify trends and possible root causes of alarm problems
• Contributing to written reports, presentations and other deliverables as required by the assignment.
• Delivery of assignments on client sites, either as part of a team or working individually.
• Assisting with the drafting of proposals for new work schedules
• Working proactively to identify and develop improvements in the delivery of our service to clients.
• Complying with internal safety directives to ensure own personal safety and the safety of others at all times.
• Working within the internal quality and contract management processes at all times to ensure all client work is delivered on time within budget to the required standard.
• Showing the potential and motivation to progress to more senior positions within the group

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree in engineering / scientific discipline, or equivalent
• Chartered with an appropriate institution, or working towards chartership.
• Good track record of relating to clients at all levels within an organisation.
• Experience of working in the Oil and Gas industry, preferably in an operations role, or operating in a safety consultancy role in this industry
• IT literate, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
• Good level of communication, both written and verbal
• Full driving license

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Flexibility regarding working hours and have the ability to travel, both overseas and offshore
