The Company:
Our client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions the transmission and distribution industry

The Role:
My client is looking to recruit a specialist consultant who has experience of alarm management with the Process industries.

Key duties will include...

 Carry out analysis of alarm data to identify trends and possible root causes of alarm problems.
 Contribute to written reports, presentations and other deliverables as required by the assignment.
 Delivery of assignments on client sites, either as part of a team or working individually.
 Assist with the drafting of proposals for new work.
 Work proactively to identify and develop improvements in the delivery of our service to clients.
 Comply with safety directives to ensure own personal safety and the safety of others at all times.
 Work within the quality and contract management processes at all times to ensure all client work is delivered on time within budget to the required standard.
 Good understanding of operational issues
 Able to demonstrate an appreciation of the role of alarm handling systems as a decision support tool for Process Operators.
 Good track record of relating to clients at all levels within an organisation.
 Show the potential to progress to more senior positions within the group.
 Must be willing to travel, both overseas and off shore.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
 Experience of working in the Oil and Gas industry in an operations role for at least 3 years.
 Alternatively operating in a safety consultancy role in this industry for at least 5 years.
 Degree or equivalent in an engineering or scientific discipline.
 (Preferably) Chartered with an appropriate institution, or working towards chartership.
 Fluent in English and able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
 IT literate and able to use standard MS Office tools (such as Word and Excel) effectively.
