The Company:
A luxury Automotive OEM based in the West Midlands. After continued growth & success there are a number of new exciting engineering projects underway and we currently have requirements for experienced engineering professionals.

The Role:
Develop 3D digital models for both 2D presentation and 3D evaluation/RPT/milling applications.

Supporting the Studio Design Team to enable the delivery of both math and physical design properties.
Work directly with the Clay Modelling and Studio Engineering teams to develop 3D Digital model data.
Prepare renderings, technical drawings & CAD models of design proposals in support of the Design Release Process.
Generate High Integrity math as/where necessary - to definedAML'A' class standard – i.e. suitable for transfer into other CAD systems (principally Ideas/Catia/ProE).
Generate math models suitable for milling/RPTapplications (e.g. closed volumeSTLfiles).
Work within the established regime of FPDS when effecting design changes.
Contribute effectively to team technical discussions to ensure that the component engineers understand proposed design changes.
Supporting the Designers with the generation of 3D models from 2D proposals/verbal directions.
Provide technical information and support to senior management for design reviews.
Carry out special projects, as directed by management.
Plan and prioritise own workload.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Educated to degree level or equivalent engineering related discipline, with relevant automotive experience.
Alias Studio Tools proficiency with OEM studio support.
2D Presentation/Animation ability in addition to Class A surfacing expertise.
A working knowledge of component manufacturing tooling requirements.
Working knowledge of PhotoShop software.
RPT/Milling plus Clay Model support understanding.
