The Company:
Our client is a large Oil & Gas company in need of an Analyst/Advisor to support their global occupational alcohol and drug testing. This will be a contract position based in Houston, Tx.

The Role:
• Support global occupational alcohol and drug testing by presenting information on program performance through data extraction, joining, cleaning, analysis, display, and interpretation.
• Also support programs by evaluating emerging alcohol and drug testing technologies and regulations.


Job Duties:
• On a scheduled or ad-hoc basis, analyze, interpret, and present corporate alcohol and drug testing policy performance information for internal and external audiences.

• Maintain technical currency on emerging alcohol and drug testing technology, regulations, laboratory performance, and other issues that can impact global operations.

• Manage alcohol and drug testing information content and quality, and the alcohol and drug testing information system through interfaces with information technology, laboratories, toxicologists, and alcohol and drug testing expert networks.

• Maintain EM Medical Review Officer Guidelines and MRO training and recertification program for EM global physicians acting as MRO’s

• Maintain Employee Medication Database for global regions

• Maintain technical currency on information security and data privacy issues that can impact global operations.

• Provide similar analytical and technical support to other areas within the Corporate Medicine and Occupational Health Department.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Extensive use of SQL and MS Access queries on large, complex datasets
• Analysis, visual display, interpretation, and presentation of health information
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Effective collaboration with diverse cultures
• Multitask and ability to handle requests with an expected short-turnaround time frame.

Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with all aspects of health information analysis, interpretation, and presentation.
• Alcohol and Drug testing experience preferred but not necessary.

Education:
• Health Science Undergraduate degree.
• Quantitative Master’s Degree preferred but not necessary.
• Training in Epidemiology and/or Biostatistics desirable.
