The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The company's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO), operates as a nimble 'business within a business' and is focused towards increasing profitability through leveraging our customers' desire to personalise their vehicles. Key strategic elements include: -
• Pushing the boundaries of the brands to create high premium niche halo performance & luxury vehicles.
• Developing a range of option packs to enhance the sporting and lifestyle attributes of our vehicle range
• Enhancing the premium customer experience through vehicle personalisation and exclusivity

As a Technical Analyst within the company's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) Division you will be responsible for a variety of technically biased tasks, working to support engineers and managers. You will need to work with personnel from other departments and functions within JLR, and possibly with external companie

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Knowledge of general engineering principles relevant to the design, development, testing and manufacture of technically engineered products.
• Working knowledge of systems and tools used to develop engineering solutions (e.g. CAD, CAE, FMEA, DFA).
• Ability to work with technical and commercial information.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills essential to liaising with a number of internal and external parties, and carrying out a range of work tasks PC Fluent (Email, Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

No prior experience required, but candidate must have appropriate knowledge and skills as outlined above

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Knowledge of the design and development of new automotive products, particularly vehicle accessories.
• Knowledge of product development systems used in the automotive industry. Knowledge of quality tools used in industrial applications (e.g. DVP, FMEA, DFA).
• Robustness Knowledge of issue tracking and release systems (e.g. BOM, AIMS, WERS).
• Knowledge of vehicle homologation requirements
• Working knowledge of project planning tools (e.g. MS Project)
• Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly tooling methods and lead-times.
• Good working knowledge of materials used in modern vehicles (e.g. plastics, metals, composites and paint).
• Working knowledge of product costing and pricing methods.

It is anticipated candidates with be educated to Degree Level, or HNC/HND with significant experience.
