The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company responsible for the Construction, Ownership and Operation of it's own Plants.

The Role:
Provide technical expertise in conducting analytical, statistical and process-related problem-solving to support the Analytical Science & Technology group, in maintaining process reliability and optimization, and ensuring product quality across the organization. Assist Analytical Science & Technology Supervisor to recommend & implement analytical improvements, develop specialized analytical capabilities, and provides hands on training and mentoring.

1. Lead the efforts of problem solving and identifying available analytical technology inside and outside the client's resources.
2. Allocate resources, set and define priorities for Analytical Science & Technology area work schedule.
3. Analyse and consolidate analytical information with focus on data interpretation.
4. Develop and maintain capital plan which identifies analytical equipment needs.
5. Define and provide technical solutions through the use of advanced analytical instrumentation, chemistry, and product/process knowledge.
6. Provide expertise in operation and data interpretation of sophisticated analytical technology such as Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Hyphenated -Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MS, LC-MS), Ion Chromatograph, Attenuated Fourier Transfer Infra-red (ATR), Cast Film Analyzers, X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD).
7. Develop and validate new advanced analytical methods, and manage multi-disciplinary analytical projects.
8. Keep current with developments in areas related to analytical technology, identify, and implement new technology to be utilized by the client.
9. Ensure the lab deliver accurate and timely analytical results as per Service Level Agreement.
10. Network with other technical personnel to stay current with relevant areas of analytical and process technologies and leverages technical solutions.
11. Improve and leverage Analytical Discipline and Procedures; anticipate / address lab or product quality problems, and conduct root cause analysis investigations and remediation.
12. Monitor analytical performance through the utilization of statistical tools, or Six Sigma Methodology, interpret results, and take appropriate corrective action as needed.
13. Participate in troubleshooting laboratory instruments and put them back in service in a timely manner.
14. Participate in seminars, conduct presentations, and issue technical reports; document, communicate and archive analytical results.
15. Train and coach mentees as well as technicians on analytical systems and technology.
16. Apply and comply with ISO 9001 standard requirements; follow the laboratory and site safety procedures.
17. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor / manager.
