The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Utilize specialized analytical chemists with focused expertise in advanced analytical technologies to provide process optimization, assist Operation to address customer complaints, and provide process troubleshooting capabilities not available in QC Laboratory to Sadara. Assist Analytical Science & Technology Supervisor to develop specialized analytical capabilities through hands on training and mentoring.

Functional Duties :
1. Define and provide technical solutions through the use of advanced analytical instrumentation, chemistry, and product/process knowledge.
2. Provide expertise in operation and data interpretation of sophisticated analytical technology such as Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance
(NMR), Hyphenated -Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MS, LC-MS), Ion Chromatograph, Attenuated Fourier Transfer Infra-red (ATR), Cast Film Analyzers, X-Ray Fluorescence
(XRF), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD).
3. Develop and validate new advanced analytical methods, and manage multi-disciplinary analytical projects.
4. Keep current with developments in areas related to analytical technology; identify, and implement new technology to be utilized by Sadara.
5. Generate sound analytical data and interpretation for complex systems.
6. Follow the Sadara approved procedures and practices related to operation, maintenance, and calibration of the lab instruments.
7. Ensure the laboratory deliver accurate and timely analytical results as per Service Level Agreement.
8. Handle multi areas in advanced analytical technology through cross training, and self-development.
9. Collaborate with Process / Engineering to identify areas of needed specialized analysis.
10. Perform as a super-user for all the Laboratory automation systems including LIMS, Chromatography Data System (CDS), and SAP-Quality Operation Management.
11. Improve and leverage Analytical Discipline and Procedures; anticipate / address lab or product quality problems, and conduct root cause analysis investigations and
12. Monitor analytical performance through the utilization of statistical tools, or Six Sigma Methodology, interpret results, and take appropriate corrective action as needed.
13. Participate in seminars, conduct presentations, and issue technical reports; document, communicate and archive analytical results.
14. Train and coach mentees as well as technicians on analytical systems and technology.
15. Apply and comply with ISO 9001 standard requirements and follow the laboratory and site safety procedures.
16. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• 4 years Bachelor of Science Degree (BS), Master (MS), or (Ph.D.) in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or equivalent.

• Chemist IV - Professional Fresh Graduate Entry level (GC 10)
• Chemist III - 3 Years of experience in the field of Analytical/Organic /Inorganic/Environmental Chemistry (GC 11)
• Chemist II - 5 Years of experience in the field of Analytical/Organic/Inorganic/Environmental Chemistry (GC 12)
• Chemist I - 10 Years of experience in the field of Analytical/Organic/Inorganic/Environmental Chemistry (GC 13)
• Understanding of advanced analytical instruments like NMR, Scanning Electron Microscope, ICP, Mass Spectroscopy.
• In-depth Knowledge in assigned area of analytical expertise; applies scientific methods, perform experimental design, and implement solutions.
