The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Support the Central Laboratory functions and perform transactional type of non-routine analytical work and projects to support various activities and tasks of the Laboratory. Assist in providing process optimization, and troubleshooting capabilities.

1. Perform routine, non-routine, and advanced complex analysis in a timely manner.
2. Select appropriate analytical measurement techniques based on knowledge of product, process and sample characteristics.
3. Work with Analytical Specialists to develop and implement new analytical procedure and to collect, interpret data, and prepare analytical reports.
4. Perform assigned calibration as required, and conduct first line maintenance of lab instruments.
5. Interpret, document, communicate, and archive analytical results and calibration data.
6. Attain high problem solving capability and perform highly complex analytical tasks through planning and/or use of advanced laboratory instrumentation.
7. Carry out routine checks on instrument status, sample collections, sample login, maintenance and Quality Control checks as per schedules.
8. Apply and interpret the statistical tools utilized to check performance of instruments.
9. Assist the lab analyst to establish sample priority and testing in the lab.
10. Maintain high standard of quality in work performed, and constantly checks & verify results before reporting them.
11. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Fourteen (14) years of relevant work experience (preferably Petrochemical Laboratory) for high school graduates and twelve (12) years for Diploma holders.
