The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
Deliver Infotainment Antenna systems (AM, FM TV, DAB, SDARS, GSM, UMTS, LTE and GPS) and components to meet the requirements of the Project Description Brochure. The delivered antenna systems must be developed to achieve maximum performance while balancing the style / design requirements. Responsible for the specification, test and validation plan to achieve the cost, with, timing and quality targets fro the project. Achieve engineering signoff for the systems and components of the Antenna system.

Key Responsibilities
1. Support and Lead Design Development
- Take the lead in Design and development of technology in area of responsibility
- Advanced ability to capture and specify the design requirements in area of responsibility.
- Lead the Engineering test & validation planning and sign off for systems and components in area of responsibility.
- Lead Engineering release and change management process

2. Delivery of projects
- Responsible for planning and managing project related activities throughout a complete project development.
- Reporting of project status for area of responsibility in cross functional and project teams.
- Advanced understanding of cross functional working with other areas of the business.
- Lead an initiate working with suppliers for progressing project deliverables.
- Basic financial awareness of their role in the organisation.
- Knowledge of cost of parts and systems with an understanding of value engineering.

3. Problem Solving
- Ability to solve highly complex Engineering and design related problems
- Analysis and management of multiple design related issues to identify the root cause.
- Collect data, manage data and analyse data to produce reports as appropriate and progress design guidelines.

4. Developing and maintaining Specialist knowledge
- Responsible for keeping the functional area up-to-date with technology in area of responsibility.
- Capture learning from previous experience.
- Work with group partners to Influence group partners to keep up to date with latest group developments.

5. Ability to work within a team
- Able to work effectively in the cross functional team.
- Lead contribution in delivering team objectives

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Higher Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Membership of a relevant professional institution and Charted Engineer status preferable

Experience
- Direct experience is expected in this field
- Ability to communicate at various levels across the company if different forums
- Design and development skills
- Ability to influence colleagues within your area of responsibility
- Understanding of financial limits within area of responsibility
- Skills required by local area
- German language
- Ability to solve problems
- Understanding of Health & Safety and capability to complete risk assessment in own area

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Significant advance knowledge of Design and development (Including RF); Test and measurement; Engineering drawings; Software tools
- Understanding of Product Emergence Process (PEP)
