The Role:
A position has become available for a Site based AOD Coordinator to join a leading Oil and Gas Operator for a 11 month contract. This is a Barrow Island based role on a 28/28 rotational roster. A successful candidate will require 5+ years broad-based administrative experience, with prior experience in a Health and Safety related position.

This role includes but may not be limited to :

•Manage Health Screeners by providing guidance with daily tasks and providing assistance with any issues that may arise.
•Liaise with the Health Screener to compile test results summary and any queries.
•Inform any companies of non-attendances.
•Download daily population on island data to provide to management.
•Transfer personnel information into the Random Selector and generate list for AOD.
•Create notifications by contractor and distribute.
•Notify direct supervisors of test notifications.
•Managing the AOD flight block process with client deployment.
•Issuing strikes to individuals for non-attendances, positive illicit results and non-compliance to the MRO validation process.
•Managing the MRO validation process with contractors.
•Conversing with different levels within the contract – PIC, IR, HR, and HSEQEM including the persons being screened.
•Liaise with Western Diagnostics and ensure that results are sent through in a timely manner.
•Interpret results once they are sent through and manage contractors if results are confirmed positive.
•Monitor and manage AOD inbox.
•Manage, file and archive AOD records/documentation.
•Attend Emergency & Security Meetings, take minutes and distribute once approved.
•Maintain Health & Safety Notice Board.
•Managing the process and documentation for all Karratha AOD testing.
•Conducting fortnightly compliance checks on all testing facilities island wide.
•Regularly review project policy and procedure documentation to ensure they are up to date and in line with current Australian standard practices.
•Detailed understanding of the Australian Standard AS/NZS: 4308:2008 Procedures for specimen collection and the detection of drugs of abuse in urine.
•Provide back up support to the Injury Case manager in times of high workload and or absence where resourcing allows.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•5+ years broad-based administrative experience, with prior experience in a Health and Safety related position
•Computer skills including the use of Safeguard, LMS, PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc. .
•Good interpersonal and communication skills. Possesses initiative to independently manage a diverse workload of changing priorities.
•This position requires a highly organised and mature individual due to the responsibility and expectations of the contract groups as this has implication for all individuals future employment on Barrow Island.
•Ability to effectively interact with individuals of all levels of the company
