The Company:
Our client is a leading global oil and gas operating company.

The Role:
Role Synopsis:
• For one or more functional disciplines, generate a high quality, deliverable functional schedule
• Ensure the functional schedule within Primavera is up to date and accurate
• Deliver 8Q and 12-week, 6 week, and 2 week Functional Schedules that are integrated with Area schedules
• Update progress on functional work in Primavera and ensure close-out of activities
• Recommend when to execute CAP activities to deliver Function and Area 8Q and 12 Week Schedules
• Recommend whether to allow CAP activities to enter the 12-week and 6-week scheduling windows
• Recommend which activities to execute when the activity set exceeds functional scheduling constraints
• Recommend when to request a 12-week schedule waiver
Key Accountabilities: Deliver optimized Functional 8Q and 12-week Schedules (at a minimum) that are integrated across areas and impacted functions
• Liaise with Functional SPAs to understand and optimise Level 1, 2 and 3 activities
• Ensure that the Function 8Q and 12-week Schedules are fully populated with all CAP activities and are deliverable within functional and area constraints
• Ensure sufficient buffers exist between activities and provide allowances for emergent work
• Ensure that all functional CAP activities have been checked against 8Q and 12-week gate readiness criteria
• Perform resource levelling analysis for all functional activities
• Communicate the agreed 8Q and 12-week, 6 week and 2 week Schedule within the function

Support the identification and resolution of delivery risks, resource conflicts, emergent work and schedule waivers
• Identify activities that bring risk to delivery of Functional Schedules
• Identify and drive resolution of functional resource conflicts
• Manage the inclusion of approved emergent work into the Functional 8Q and 12-week Schedule
• Support 8Q and 12-week AP Gatekeepers in assessing schedule waivers

Apply specific Primavera capabilities in support of the function
• Apply standard Primavera processes that are consistent with the AP Upstream Recommended Practice

Drive functional execution efficiency
• Update progress on functional activities in Primavera on a weekly basis
• Highlight slippage in the schedule and propose actions to recover
• Review AP KPI performance with APFL, Functional Manager and others
• Support improvements in functional scheduling performance
• First point of contact for SPAs to address issues relating to scheduling and AP tools

Contractor integration
• Liaise with contractor planning teams to ensure alignment of Company and Contractor Plans and Schedules
Essential Education: High school diploma or GED (General Education Development certificate) plus 2-year Tech School or Associate Degree -- or equivalent experience

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential Criteria: Planning & Scheduling
• Significant understanding and experience with planning and scheduling concepts, and their application in a business team environment.
• Understanding and experience in schedule integration across multiple groups and multiple time horizons.
• Working knowledge of planning and scheduling tools and principles
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
Management and Interpersonal
• Good communication and influencing skills
• Personal understanding and commitment to HSSE.
• Demonstrated success in working within high performance environments.
• Bias for action; takes action before being asked or forced by events; anticipates future situations and plans ahead to meet challenges.
• Proven ability to schedule within constraints and recognize/ resolve conflicts.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Desirable Criteria: • Working knowledge of the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry
• Experience in the use of Primavera scheduling software
• Experience with resource allocation analysis and levelling
• Operations and/or projects experience
• BS degree in engineering, operations management, business or finance
