The Company:
Our client is the worlds leading independent company in powertrain development. Based in the UK, our client has proven success in the development of powertrain systems with internal combustion engines. Our client is a highly competent partner to the engine and automotive industry.

The Role:
The core diesel calibration team is a diverse team of experienced and motivated engineers that work to develop world class products. We are now looking for an additional calibration engineer to fill an open vacancy.
In this role you will be responsible for optimising the calibration of the air path system and transient controllers to ensure the vehicle’s performance and emissions targets are met in all conditions.
The role involves planning, preparation and supervision of engine dyno and vehicle tests, assessment and documentation of test results and delivery of calibrations. You may also be required to participate in vehicle test development trips.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience within Automotive Industry within Calibration
Knowledge of and experience with air path calibration (in particular model-based EGR control)
Knowledge of and experience in calibrating PID controllers
Good working knowledge of EMS and associated tools
Experience/Knowledge with Turbo and EGR systems
Good inter-personnel and communication skills
Good Project planning skills
Degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering
