The Role:
Job Description
Position Summary: Fully proficient in all major aspects of process design, proposal preparation, project development, and project execution related to natural gas production, conditioning, dehydrating and processing equipment and facilities. Background in conceptual design, process simulation, PFD and P&ID development, equipment design, sizing, specification, and selection, system hydraulic design, bid preparation, PHA/HAZOP review, troubleshooting, and performance testing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensures process systems are designed and engineered to meet customer’s requirements in a technically efficient and commercially viable manner.
Works closely with Project Managers assigned to the project to ensure that scope of supply and design parameters are clear and well defined.
Assists applications engineers on technical issues related to preparation of proposals and evaluates equipment performance to assure the best application is met.
Obtains and evaluates vendor quotations covering vendor inquiries and preparing lowest evaluated vendor costs.
Assists in resolution of field problems and warranty claims, assesses field and shop recommendations on unit design, and participates in implementing efficient corrections that reduce operational problems.
Assures timely engineering effort is maintained by performing project engineering functions including supplier inquiry preparation, supplier bid analysis and supplier selection, prepare process and auxiliary system mechanical flow diagrams.
Provides engineering calculations for complete heat and material balances, line sizing for all systems, equipment sizing including hydraulic level specification, retention and settling times, PFD and P&ID development.
Provides engineering support on approval drawings for technical and commercial content additions and handles shop questions during assembly of equipment.
Confers with manufacturing and drafting to prepare design modifications as required.
Provides guidance and instruction to junior level engineers.

Capable of performing tasks with minimal guidance or supervision.
Must be able to work in a team environment to develop improved work processes and/or procedures for the department.
Willingness to mentor junior level engineers.

Preferred Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Chemical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of ten years engineering and design experience with natural gas production, treating, and processing equipment and facilities including: Oil and Gas Separation; Dehydration (DEG, TEG, EG and methanol injection); Acid gas treating (MEA, DEA, DGA, MDEA, formulated amines); Hydrocarbon dew point control (straight refrigeration units, J-T units, refrigerated J-T un
