The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
This role sits within the Non Production Purchasing Department and the IT Purchasing team, reporting into Category Management. The purpose of the role is to develop, implement and embed the full purchasing process including strategy creation, sourcing and contract management within IT Professional Services.

Skills Required:
1)Procurement experience including experience of procuring professional services and applications (software).
2)Procuring IT
3)preferable experience of managing sourcing of an IT MSP.

Experience Required:
- Management of the complete IT Professional Services category supporting business and IT funded projects including but not limited to, Development Services, Systems Integration, Penetration Testing Services, and Integration Services.
- Lead development of category strategy with focus on both sourcing and strategic supplier relationship management using appropriate techniques.
- Lead the end to end sourcing processes (complex and simple) for the IT Professional Services Category ensuring Purchasing strategy and process is followed
- Accountable for the successful commercial and contractual completion of sourcing projects
- Liaise with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop sourcing strategies and make all necessary arrangements to ensure that cost, risk and service requirements are met
- Develop and establish a pipeline of sourcing activities in line with contract expiry dates, potential cost saving opportunities and new investment projects
- Articulate and disseminate agreed terms and key operational aspects of the contract (ensure all parties know what they have to do post transition)
- Ability to understand, interpret and negotiate non-standard terms and conditions
- Develop and manage ongoing relationships with key stakeholders including but not limited to, JLR Legal, CITO, PPD, SD and BRM prioritising their needs accordingly.
- Coaching and mentoring team members where required, sharing best practice knowledge across sourcing and supplier management disciplines
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation through supplier relationship management with strategic suppliers
- Stays current with market trends and best practice and applying where relevant within the scope of the category
- Delivers savings and commercial benefit
- Translating business needs and requirements into developing and negotiating appropriate commercial models and contract terms e.g. Statements of Work (SOW).

Experience Preferred:
Ideal candidate:
- Experience of implementing the full procurement process including, but not limited to, strategy creation, sourcing and contract management
- Strong commercial background with excellent negotiation skills
- The ability to adapt to different stakeholder needs and to develop and maintain successful working relationships
- Experience in drafting contract documents e.g. SOWs, LOAs, etc.
- Strong analytical skills. Experience in data analysis & supplier assessment
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Innovative and forward thinking proactively seeking opportunities to challenge and continuously improve
- Ability to work independently
- Experience in influencing others Desirable
- Experience in a similar position
- Previous experience in Manufacturing preferable
