The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Administration & Outsource Engineer.

Our client has the capability to manufacture many of the prototype components used in the development of its new vehicles. However because of business growth in-house workshop prototyping capacity (Machining, Rapid Prototype, Model Making, Sheet Metalwork etc.) is no longer sufficient and overload is being passed to other sub contract suppliers who have a similar prototyping capability. The person undertaking this role will assist with sending work to sub contract prototype suppliers used by our client. They will work as a member of a small team & be expected to request quotations, pass drawings and other data to suppliers, analyse quotations received and keep track of supplier delivery & performance. This role requires excellent organisational skills, initiative & an ability to communicate clearly at all levels, knowledge of engineering practice and manufacturing techniques (metalworking, model making, RP etc.) would be an advantage as would experience in a purchasing role. The incumbent will be asked to assist with other administrative tasks as required. "

**Driving Licence required - This role is currently Warwickshire based**

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
This role requires a person who is used to working in an organised fashion, capable of handling multiple requests for quotations with subcontract suppliers, able to find answers to technical queries and work to deadlines as a member of a small prototype outsourcing team.
Experience in a purchasing type role is not essential though could be an advantage, similarly knowledge of engineering workshop processes would also be an advantage
No specific formal qualifications are required for this role.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge / experience of prototyping processes & basic engineering workshop practice (Metalwork, Model making, Rapid Prototyping etc.) would be an advantage though is not essential. Similarly experience in a purchasing or engineering applications role may also be an advantage, though is not essential. A Driving Licence is required as travel to local suppliers may be necessary. It would be expected that candidates have good PC skills
