The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
• Target – Formulates competitive quotations, taking into account best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each individual situation. Ensures quotations are well documented in a timely manner and with appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs.
• Preparation – Prepares all technical (define the most suitable technology and product type) and financial (Full cost model including engineering hours estimation) aspects of the quotation. Ensure conformity with all relevant H&S legislation within technical solution.
• Documentation – Collects and archives all documentation (technical and financial) relating to the proposal.
• Risk – Identifies potential risks in the quotation. Provides information and / or participates in the risk review process in accordance with ABB Policy.
• Customer Relations – Establish and maintains effective customer relationships to understand customer needs. Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process. Provides any necessary technical support to Sales managers during technical meetings with customers.
• Supplier selection – Generates Request for quotation (RFQ) documents then collaborates with supply chain management to identify potential vendors for equipment, materials and services required in the project. Technically evaluates suppliers offer against required specification.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Robotics application engineering knowledge. Industry experience essential
• HNC level (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline – Electrical or Mechanical.
• Computer literacy – Minimum Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience working in the Robotic industrial environment
• Experience in a robotic process e.g. Welding/Handling
• Experience in Robot simulation ideally ABB RobotStudio
• Experience in 2d or 3d Cad packages ideally AutoCAD or Solidworks
• Awareness of project contractual terms & conditions
• Technology focused with a keen interest in development and
continuous learning in the Robotics field
