The Company:
Our Client develops and operates the specialized economic zones and projects in Qatar. With an aim of building and managing world-class infrastructure that will facilitate growth of the private sector, plays a vital part in the realization of the country's overall economic growth strategy.

The Role:
Major Responsibilities/Duties:

•Manage and provide specialist advice on architectural works across all our Client projects.

•Monitor architecture-related design and construction across projects and implement design efforts that are matched with sustainable design practices while providing value for money.

•Ensure the design and construction efforts comply with and support the objectives of Our Client and ultimately Qatar’s 2030 National Vision.

•Work in collaboration with HSE Manager to set goals, objectives and standards that optimize efficiency and sustainability in architectural design and construction.

•Supervise quality standards, guidelines and procedures for architectural design and ensure compliance at implementation and maintenance.

•Monitor compliance of architectural design and construction activities with working procedures, local authority and statutory requirements, quality standards, health and safety standard and guidelines (in collaboration with QA/QC Manager, HSE Manager, and Project Managers).

•Work with the design team to evaluate the designs of consultants and sub-contractors from a technical perspective.

•Provide advice on cost, value engineering, constructability and scheduling related to architectural design.

•Coordinates with Zone Operations to ensure execution of annual maintenance and replacement programs as required.

•Coordinate with all relevant local authority and statutory organizations to ensure all licences and approvals are obtained within a reasonable time period.

•Resolve architectural design or construction issues.

•Provide advice and support in implementing all design projects from the Construction Team by participating in weekly or monthly meetings as required to ensure that the architectural design intent is carried out till the end.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Architecture or related field with Relevant professional certifications are preferred

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
•Normally a successful candidate would have (8) eight years of related work experience in the Construction industry

•Proven experience in architectural design, building systems and construction management

•Proven experience in working with external consultants and sub-contractors

•Proven experience in working in the GCC

•Commercial and technical knowledge of construction projects

•Knowledge of architectural design, building systems and construction management

•Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements
