The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their LNG mega-project in Western Canada.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
Reporting to the Lead Civil Engineer Calgary Operating Center (COC) the lead architect will be based in the EPC contractor's Calgary office which is responsible for the LNG plant OSBL, Utility and Buildings scope. Position is responsible for delivering all architectural deliverables for the entire LNG plant facility and construction man camp. Directs and monitors Contractor's FEED and detailed designs to ensure compliance with project requirements including codes, standards and specifications. Approves Contractor's architectural deliverables and works with Contractor to ensure that the fabrication sub-contractors designs meet project requirements. The LNG plant will have an offsite administration building, security/fire station, clinic, maintenance building, warehouse, a 200 man operator's accommodation building, several on-site instrumentation buildings, and on-site control building, all weather shelters for OSBL and ISBL process equipment and power generation equipment. Several of the buildings shall be designed for blast resistance. The buildings will be designed for the regional seismic loads and for blast loads as required by HES risk studies.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Technical Experience: - Degree architect or architectural engineer with minimum of 15 years demonstrated experience with building architectural design and construction.
Major capital project experience required. Major capital project experience on a LNG plant project is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work in multi-discipline teams, including contractors and vendors, through detailed design and construction.
Demonstrated leadership and organizational ability, and able to effectively balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced Project environment.
