The Company:
Our Client is a Leading Global Operator in the Oil, Gas and Energy Industry.

The Role:
Note: This role will be based in London initially, mobilising to Korea in November, 2012

• Perform HSE expectations as set out by the client and the Project
• Review engineering, shop drawings, procedures etc. for quality and content deliverables to determine their suitability for construction.
• Review procurement deliverable to determine their completeness for construction.
On mobilisation to Site
• Provide construction expertise to our client's Korean Fabrication Contractor (KFC) to ensure a realistic fabrication schedule delivery
• Provide status updates into the reporting system
• Co-ordinate the responses to all KFC Site Queries on all LQ disciplines interfacing with project Engineering as required
• Ensure that the KFC has all procedures in place in a timely fashion to enable LQ construction to start as planned. Liaise with the London TDT, HSE and QA teams, site QC and the KFC to achieve this..
• Interface with the KFC site Engineering procurement team to ensure timely execution of the KFC procurement plan on a regular basis.
• Monitor and ensure the KFC's long lead material deliveries are secured to meet ROS dates and any dispensation on material/equipment selection has been approved via appropriate deviation requests..
• Provide status updates into the reporting system
• Review the KFC engineering deliverables, shop drawings, procedures etc. for quality and content
• Manage the interface between the KFC and our client's own quality control
• Assist the Engineering Team during Construction to MC
• Provide support to the KFC in certification requirements
• Provide input to preparation of project schedule and influence as appropriate.
• Identify and highlight to TDT in London any risks (opportunities or threats) that may have a favourable or adverse impact on module(s) delivery within project cost, quality or schedule objectives.
• Support LQ Lead on LQ delivery

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Candidate should be from an architectural or module outfitting background having worked as a Site/Field Engineer or similar position for an international outfitting contractor previously.
• Extensive experience in construction activities, preferably in Far-East yards, in particular the construction of offshore Living Quarters Modules
• Knowledge of living quarters design and construction
• Proven track record in the construction of offshore Living Quarters Modules to UK North Sea standards
• Knowledge of North Sea technical and MC certification requirements for living quarters
• Knowledge of Korean construction methods would be an advantage
• Proven to be able to work in multi-discipline, multi-cultural teams
