The Role:
Fircroft are seeking a candidate for a long term contract overseas with an oil & gas operator

Duration: 12 Months Rolling Contract
Rotation: 6/2
Day Rate: Negotiable, net paid deal.
Accommodation/Flights/Per Diem: Provided

Oversee the control systems of the terminal construction works through the main terminal contractor (MTC) for brownfield works
Assist (with MTC) in development of COW systems for brown field areas
Act as liaison with other stakeholders (commissioning, operations) and construction teams in PTW implementation in brown field area of existing terminal
Understanding of current safety legislation (BS / EN / OSHA).
Keen awareness of management of behavioural based site safety programmes
Understanding of the requirements of an effective control of work system, including permit to work, etc, within a brownfield environment
Understanding of multiple construction disciplines, particularly in the onshore Oil and Gas related fields.
Ability to communicate effectively with contractor’s/line managers/ and supervision in English language (oral and written).
Knowledge and understanding of management operating systems
Good IT skills, (understanding of MS office, etc)

EXPERIENCE
Track record of experience gained in similar oil and gas / petrochemical / power generation related international projects, in a similar role leading to development of the following skill sets:
Coordination of PTW systems within a multi-disciplined environment
Planning activities on a daily / weekly basis and linking into schedule, in liaison with construction management teams
Resolution of interface issues between disciplines on a daily basis
Liaison with Contractor’s HSE and Construction teams on all work front coordination issues
Promoting project HSE objectives.
Assist in the overall verification of the PTW on their site and ensuring that the procedures described in this document are consistently followed.
Ensuring that the PTW process is subject to regular monitoring and auditing, that the results of these audits are acted upon to maintain the integrity of the system and proposing any recommendations for system improvement
Ensuring that the training and competency standards, are followed and to satisfy him / herself that the SC/AA’s are competent.
Assessing and Coaching SC/AA’s to ensure the required level of competency is maintained.
Ensuring that the appropriate level of risk assessment has been carried out for the task (Level 1 or 2) and assessing the Task Risk Assessment Team Leader
Verifying that all Prerequisite control measures have been put in place prior to a permit being issued, confirming that the AA fully understands the scope of the task.
Assist in ensuring that the AA provides approval of isolation design, control of isolation implementation and ensuring that ICC’s are attached or cross-referenced to the correct WCC prior to issuing. Also verifying that isolations are properly removed after completion of all the works associated/referenced to the ICC and cancellation of those permits.
Ensure that there is a walk-through of every work site activity before and after completion of work as a minimum, ensuring good housekeeping, isolations and tags removed as appropriate.
Ensuring that adequate handovers take place at shift change, crew change or other change out/over of AA’s, PA’s and IA’s
Validate lessons learned and audits
Liaison with operations and commissioning on all matters relating to COW
Resolution of interface issues between disciplines on a daily basis
Ensure no clashes between disciplines through effective segregation of activities through the PTW system
Assist in the Construction team Lessons Learned Process
Participate in the Onshore team Risk Management Process
Participate in task risk assessment meetings.
Providing assistance to the terminal construction contractor for resolution of issues, etc.
Review and acceptance of contractor COW /PTW procedures
Attending project meetings as required.
Provide advice, coaching and training to Azeri National personnel as necessary
Mentor and assist in training of junior staff as required
Compilation of reports as required.
Liaison with Contractor’s HSE and Construction teams on all work front coordination issues

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum HNC / HND or equivalent in engineering or HSSE related discipline
Registered Incorporated Engineer or IOSH membership
Formal training in AA / PTW control systems
Desirable: Engineering or HSSE related Degree
